Homes have always been more than buildings to me—they’ve been symbols of safety, reinvention, and possibility.
It all started when my husband, Chris, and I were searching for a home. We worked with a REALTOR® who (with all due respect) just wasn’t good. He didn’t listen to our needs. Eventually, I became so frustrated that I decided to get my real estate license and purchase the home myself. I didn’t realize it, but that decision would change the course of my life.
My interest in homes started long before that experience. As a teenager, I was already fascinated by architecture and design. I eventually moved from Pittsburgh to Florida to pursue a degree in architecture and design—and, if I’m being honest, to leave behind a complicated family dynamic. Homes felt personal to me—they told stories—and I loved immersing myself in the world of layouts and interiors.
It was during college that I met Chris. We both worked at Subway, just at different locations. One day, he stopped by my store to talk to another employee, and that simple interaction kicked off our love story. After dating for a while, we decided to get married and buy a house together, which led us straight into that difficult experience with our REALTOR®. Looking back, that frustration turned out to be a gift. It gave me the push I needed to step into real estate myself.
Those first months in the field were exciting. I knew real estate was competitive, but it never felt like “work.” I was genuinely passionate about it, and I believe when you love what you do, you naturally excel. I started my career at RE/MAX and was incredibly fortunate to receive training from top-producing agents—something that not everyone gets access to. Before long, I was asked to step into an office manager role and mentor other agents. It was an honor and an intense education. I was learning, teaching, and running a RE/MAX office full-time. That experience fast-tracked my growth in ways I’m still grateful for today.
One thing that helped me then—and still does—is my openness to people from all walks of life. Coming from a complicated family taught me early on that life doesn’t always follow a straight path. People face challenges you can’t always control, and they are doing the best they can with what they have. That background shaped my outlook. I’m optimistic, I don’t sweat the small stuff, and I truly enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Of course, real estate also taught me hard lessons. I remember having an incredible year in 2017, only to see my business slow dramatically in 2018. It was unexpected and humbling. That moment forced me to grow—not just as an agent but as a business owner. I learned how to market myself, build an online presence, reach new clients, and pivot when something wasn’t working. It was challenging, but it became one of the most important growth periods of my career.
Today, I’m still doing what I love. Chris and I have been together for 22 years, and family is everything to me. I love spending time with him, my in-laws, and Taco—our corgi, who was once a client’s dog and eventually became ours when she could no longer care for her. I enjoy exploring Florida’s natural beauty, reading anything that sparks my interest, and tending to my many plants.
Giving back is also a big part of my life. I volunteer as secretary of Rotary (soon to be president) and serve on the board of the Chamber of Commerce. Real estate gave me more than a career—it gave me purpose, connection with incredible people, and the chance to help clients feel truly at home.
I believe buying or selling a home should never feel rushed. My goal is for clients to feel calm, informed, and confident so they can make decisions that truly serve their best interests. To achieve that, I prioritize education from the very beginning. I clearly explain Florida laws, timelines, and key details well in advance, giving clients time to absorb the information, ask questions, and reflect before any decisions are required. This proactive approach ensures they never feel pushed into signing something they don’t fully understand.
Transparency is central to how I work, even when the advice isn’t the easiest to hear. I approach real estate with a servant-leadership mindset, taking charge when needed while making sure every small step in the process is handled properly. I’m a hands-on problem solver who addresses challenges directly and keeps transactions moving forward. Whether a client is buying a luxury estate or a modest home, I show up with the same level of care and commitment. I work with people from all backgrounds, and more often than not, those professional relationships turn into lasting friendships.
Sincerely,
